Hello and Welcome! I hope this website is used as an open means of communication for my parents and students. I also hope this website will serve as a resource to enrich, engage, extend, and encourage the learning that takes place in my classroom into your homes. Please know my door is always open to address any questions, concerns, or even just to get a little help!
I believe that history creates as many questions as it answers, and that understanding history gives us a responsibility to the future. It helps root our identities into something greater than ourselves and challenges us to be better stewards of the present.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
I graduated from the University of Dayton (Ohio) with a B.A. in History and a B.S. in Secondary Education. I earned a Master's of Science in Education from Southern Utah University and an additional accreditation in Technology in the Classroom, also from SUU.
I have been teaching in the Clark County School District since 2008 as an educator of US History, Geography, and Fundamentals of Writing. I have had the privilege of working in two schools in this time period, serving as the Social Studies Department Chairperson at both locations. I have also coached boys and girls basketball since beginning my teaching career.

We enjoy spending our energies as active and healthy as reasonably possible, hiking the local trails in Las Vegas, playing sports, working out, and eating healthy, while occasionally taking in an adventure race. When time and money allow, Abbey and I love to catch a plane and visit a foreign place, most recently visiting the beautiful and volcanic country, Costa Rica. Each summer I also look forward to an annual trip to Ontario, Canada where my family fishes for Musky and Walleye.
If you ever feel the need to get a hold of me, please email my work email at [email protected]. If there is ever a question or concern please NEVER HESITATE to contact me.
